The Great Ring of galaxies does not correspond to any structure known to date

An immense ring of galaxies called the Great Ring, with a diameter of 1.3 billion light years, does not correspond to any structure or formation mechanism known to date. In June 2021, astronomers had already discovered a giant arc of galaxies called Giant Arc, located 9.2 billion light years from Earth. This discovery partly calls into question our understanding of the evolution of the universe and could thus result in a modification of the standard model of cosmology.

A neutron star emits an abnormal signal

A neutron star located 15,820 light years from Earth emits a signal every 53.8 minutes, a unique and unprecedented temporal abnormality associated with another phenomenon, since the signal passes through several phases starting extremely strong , before disappearing completely. This discovery could lead to a complete reconsideration of astronomers’ understanding of neutron stars, magnetars, or white dwarfs.
