A 3D printer regrowth mice’s own skin into a wound

A 3D bioprinter can print dual layers of mice’s own skin directly into a wound. Two types of skin cells, fibroblasts and keratinocytes, are grown from a biopsy sample and mixed into a hydrogel which forms the bioprinter ink. The next steps involve conducting clinical trials in humans.

Create an artificial memory in the brain of an animal

By reverse engineering a natural memory of a rodent by mapping the brain circuits of its formation, we can create an artificial memory in the brain of another animal according to the scheme obtained. Stimulation of the electrical activity of neuronal circuits specific triggers a new memory impossible to distinguish from a natural memory.
