World’s first AI-designed viruses a step towards AI-generated life
Faced with the growing resistance of bacteria to antibiotics, researchers have used AI to generate more than 300 new viruses capable of specifically targeting bacteria. These viruses do not affect humans but attack pathogens. Among them, sixteen have demonstrated their ability to replicate and destroy bacteria in the laboratory.
