  • Genetically modified humans

    Children with AADC deficiency, which prevents the brain from making dopamine and serotonin, have no head control, can’t sit, walk or talk – they are bedridden and die young. Genes delivered directly into the brain allowed some children to speak and walk for the first time, becoming modified humans, similar to genetically modified organisms.
