Cold atom system to study quantum physics

The cold atom system is an ideal experimental platform for studying quantum physics. Researchers realized super-resolved imaging of a single cold atom (ion) directly for the first time with a spatial resolution of 175nm, exceeding the optical diffraction limit.

Heart transplant from a genetically modified pig without rejection

A patient received a heart transplant from a genetically modified pig. Genetic modification makes it possible to no longer produce a type of sugar that would cause rejection of the transplanted organ.
