  • Machines can now beat theoretical physicists

Machines can now beat theoretical physicists solving complex problems as accurately as scientists but considerably faster. Computers are now able to carry out science in a very meaningful way and tackle problems that have long frustrated scientists.”

Silica particles can spin 300 billion times a minute

150 nanometer silica particles can spin 300 billion times a minute under the polarized pulses of a laser. They then detect the energy fluctuations of the vacuum, quantum streaks generated by these objects in the electromagnetic field on the quantum scale.

First living robots built using stem cells

First living robots have been built using stem cells from frog embryos, in a strange machine-animal hybrid that scientists say is an ‘entirely new life-form.’ They can replicate and repair themselves if damaged or torn. They are living programmable organisms of one millimeter wide.

Neurological signals converted into real audible sounds

The neurological signals sent to the different parts of the body necessary to articulate sounds have made it possible to convert this information into real audible sounds. The movement map formed the list of sounds to be generated by a speech synthesizer.

Fish and crustaceans communicate by sound

Fish and crustaceans communicate by sound, which makes possible to know the state of health of the ecosystem where they evolve. By using loudspeakers on degraded coral reefs we can bring back larvae and increase the number of species by 50%.
